Anaiis

anaiis, born on 23 July 1991 in Toulouse, France, is a French‑Senegalese singer and songwriter who grew up traveling between Dublin, Dakar, Oakland, New York, and London, where she settled and studied at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. Her first release came in 2018 with the EP before zero, followed by the single "no control" the same year, marking her entry into the soul/R&B scene. In 2019, she issued the album darkness at play, produced by Om'Mas Keith, and continued to build momentum with singles such as "lost my faith" and "Learn to Love"(2020). The breakthrough came in 2021 with the album this is no longer a dream, featuring tracks like "vanishing . (chipmunk)" and "reverie", and the collaborative single "cry in your sleep" with Chronixx. Subsequent releases include the 2022 single "be alright" and the single "Deus Deus (2025). She has been noted for her multilingual songwriting and has appeared on prominent platforms such as A COLORS and BBC Maida Vale Studios, solidifying her position in contemporary soul and R&B.
