José Daniel Betances Espinal, known professionally as Amenazzy or "El Nene La Amenaza," is a Dominican urban artist born on August 4, 1995, in Santiago de los Caballeros. He gained initial recognition in 2013 with Los Mellos on the Track and achieved solo success in 2015 with "La Chanty," followed by his self-titled album in 2016. Amenazzy's music blends reggaetón, trap, urban pop, and R&B, leading to collaborations with artists like Arcángel, Don Miguelo, and Bad Bunny. His 2019 hit "Baby," featuring Nicky Jam and Farruko, amassed over 300 million views. In 2021, he released the album Santo Niño, featuring collaborations with Brray, Don Miguelo, and others. The 2023 album XXX included tracks like "Difícil De Reemplazar." Subsequent singles such as "PANTI" (2025), "Juguete," and "EBRIO" (2024) showcased his evolving style. Amenazzy has received multiple RIAA certifications and won the 2019 Premios Juventud award for Nueva Generación Urbana.
