Alison Limerick

Born in 1959 in Stepney, London, Alison T. Limerick is a British singer and songwriter best known for her soaring vocals and timeless presence in the world of soulful house and dance-pop. She rose to international fame in the early 1990s with the release of her now-classic club anthem “Where Love Lives” (1990, re-released in 1991), a hit dance track that became a defining moment in the evolution of UK house music. With its euphoric energy and the singer's powerful, emotive voice, the song remains a staple on dance floors and DJ playlists decades later. Originally trained in contemporary dance at London Contemporary Dance School, Alison Limerick began her artistic career performing in both dance and theatre before transitioning into music. Her early work included backing vocals for prominent UK acts, and she soon became a sought-after collaborator in the studio scene. She released her debut solo album And Still I Rise in 1992, featuring “Where Love Lives” and other soulful house tracks that showcased her rich vocal tone and expressive style.
