José Alfredo Olivas Rojas, better known as Alfredo Olivas, is a Mexican singer, songwriter, and accordionist He is a famous figure within the world of contemporary regional Mexican music, performing in genres such as Norteño and Mariachi. Alfredo Olivas was born on October 1st 1993, in Ciudad Obregón, Mexico. He had an early start to his career, performing songs when he was only 9 years old. He released dozens of independent singles throughout his teens, signing to record label Fonovisa at age 16. In 2009, Alfredo Oliva made his album debut with Con el Pie Derecho, followed by his highly successful solo record El Patroncito in 2011. This album gained him a considerable following in Mexico and abroad. After a successful tour of Mexico, Alfredo Olivas signed to Sony imprint Sahuaro Music, releasing El Privilegio in 2015. The album reached Number 2 on the Latin Albums Chart. During a performance in 2015, Alfredo Olivas was shot eight times by an audience member, but survived; he released the album La Rueda de la Fortuna in 2017, followed by El Día de los Muertos in 2019. This album contained the song “Medalla de Plata,” a lover’s plea to salvage a crumbling relationship that peaked at Number 36 on Mexico's Cosmohits chart. In 2021, Alfredo Olivas released a new single called “Hoy Te Pierdo.” Over the following years, he continued to solidify his presence in the Regional Mexican music scene with a series of impactful releases and performances. In 2022, he unveiled the album ALFA & OMEGA, showcasing his signature blend of heartfelt lyrics and traditional sounds. The following year, he released the live EP De Polo A Polo (En Vivo), capturing the energy of his performances. Throughout 2024, Alfredo Olivas maintained a steady stream of singles, including "Imaginación," "Asignatura Pendiente," and "Cobijas Ajenas," each reflecting his evolving artistry. A notable collaboration came in early 2025 with Carlos Rivera on the emotive track "Tu Amor Es Mío," highlighting his versatility and appeal across genres. February 2025 saw the release of his album V1V0, further cementing his status as a leading figure in Regional Mexican music. Complementing his studio work, Alfredo Olivas embarked on the Alfa y Omega Tour, performing in major venues across Mexico, including a standout show at Arena Ciudad de México in October 2024.
