Akira Fuse, born Akira Fuse on 18 December 1947 in Mitaka, Tokyo, is a Japanese singer and actor. He began his career in music with the release of his debut single "Kimi ni Namida to Hohoemi o" (君に涙とほほえみを; "Tears and Smiles to You"). in 1965. His breakthrough came with notable hits such as 1975's "Cyclamen no Kahori" and 1979's "Kimi wa Bara Yori Utsukushii". Throughout his career, he released numerous albums, including Akira Fuse Deluxe Koi (1967), Aisuru Tame ni Umare Aisuru Tme ni Iki Wakare no Tame ni Shindeyuku Boku ni Naritai (1969), and When Akira Fuse Meets Burt Bacharach (1971). In 2005, his music gained renewed popularity when it was featured in the Japanese TV series Kamen Rider Hibiki, including the ending theme "Shōnen yo" and the second opening theme "Hajimari no Kimi e". Over the preceding years, he maintained a consistent presence on television, performing seasonal tours, hosting talk shows, and participating in stage plays. His contributions to music and entertainment have solidified his status as a prominent figure in Japanese pop culture, while he continued to put out releases in the 2010s and 2020s, such as WALK in 2018 and "Musashino On My Mind".
