Acappella

Acappella is an American all-male contemporary Christian vocal group founded in Paris, Tennessee, in 1982 by Keith Lancaster. They initially consisted solely of vocalists who sang in a cappella style without instrumental accompaniment. Their fan base grew steadily through the 1980s as they experienced many lineup changes. Their landmark album Sweet Fellowship (1988) marked a significant development in membership and style, with Lancaster stepping out of the lead singer role to focus on production and management. Signed to Word Records in 1990, their popularity soared with album releases such as Rescue (1990) and Set Me Free (1993). They toured extensively around the world, including performances in Africa, Australia, Canada, China, Europe, Jamaica, Japan, South America, and the Caribbean. In 2007, they were inducted into the Christian Music Hall of Fame. Their subsequent albums include Find Your Way (2009) and Acappella 40 (2022).
