Above the Law is an American hipâhop group formed in Pomona, California, in 1989 by Gregory Hutchinson (Coldâ¯187â¯um), Kevin Dulley (KMG the Illustrator), Arthur Goodman (Goâ¯Mack), and Anthony Stewart (DJâ¯Totalâ¯KâOss). Discovered by EazyâE, they signed to Ruthless Records and released Livin' Like Hustlers in 1990, which peaked at Number 14 on the R&B Albums chart and Number 75 on the Billboard 200; the singles "Murder Rap" and "Untouchable" charted. They followed with Blackâ¯Mafiaâ¯Life in 1993 (Number 6 on the Billboard 200) and Uncleâ¯Sam'sâ¯Curse in 1994. After leaving Ruthless, they issued Timeâ¯Willâ¯Reveal in 1996 and Legends in 1998 on Tommyâ¯Boy, then released Forever: Richâ¯Thugs,â¯Bookâ¯One in 1999. The album Sexâ¯Moneyâ¯andâ¯Music finally appeared in 2007. The group became inactive after KMG the Illustratorâs death on 7â¯Julyâ¯2012.
