Above the Law

Above the Law is an American hip‑hop group formed in Pomona, California, in 1989 by Gregory Hutchinson (Cold 187 um), Kevin Dulley (KMG the Illustrator), Arthur Goodman (Go Mack), and Anthony Stewart (DJ Total K‑Oss). Discovered by Eazy‑E, they signed to Ruthless Records and released Livin' Like Hustlers in 1990, which peaked at Number 14 on the R&B Albums chart and Number 75 on the Billboard 200; the singles "Murder Rap" and "Untouchable" charted. They followed with Black Mafia Life in 1993 (Number 6 on the Billboard 200) and Uncle Sam's Curse in 1994. After leaving Ruthless, they issued Time Will Reveal in 1996 and Legends in 1998 on Tommy Boy, then released Forever: Rich Thugs, Book One in 1999. The album Sex Money and Music finally appeared in 2007. The group became inactive after KMG the Illustrator’s death on 7 July 2012.
