1chika, born Uehara Ichika on October 28, 1992, in Tokyo, Japan, is a Japanese-Korean singer and CEO of JJ Music. He first gained public attention as a contestant on the Chinese survival show Produce Camp 2021, where he was eliminated in episode seven, ranking 35th. In 2022, he joined OD Entertainment and later participated in the Korean survival program Boys Planet in 2023, but was eliminated in episode five, finishing in 75th place. Despite these setbacks, 1chika remained determined to pursue a music career. In October 2024, he announced the establishment of his independent label, JJ Music, alongside a producer colleague. Shortly after, on December 26, it was revealed that he would make his solo debut with the digital single "12 Times a Day" on December 28, 2024. The track is a remake of Yoon Gun’s song of the same name, showcasing his smooth vocals and musical artistry. Known for his perseverance and passion, 1chika continues to carve his own path in the industry, transitioning from a reality show contestant to a solo artist and entrepreneur. With JJ Music, he aims to create opportunities for himself and other aspiring artists in the Korean and Japanese music scenes.
