Zhang Huoding, born on January 24, 1971, in Baicheng, Jilin, China, is a Peking opera singer. She began her career as a student of the Cheng-pai tradition, named after the renowned Peking opera performer Cheng Yanqiu. Zhang's breakthrough came with her role in the revolutionary opera Sister Jiang, directed by Zhang Yuan, which gained significant attention in 2003. In 2015, she made her US debut at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, New York City, performing a Chinese opera version of The Legend of the White Snake.
