Zentone is a French dub project born in 2006 from the collaboration between two major figures on the French dub scene, Zenzile (Angers) and High Tone (Lyon). Born of live sessions and studio experiments, the group fuses electronic dub, reggae, drum'n'bass and ambient ambiences. Their eponymous debut album Zentone was released in 2006 on the Jarring Effects label, followed by Zentone Chapter 2 in 2021, both hailed for their rich sound and balance between analog and digital textures. Following the release of the live album Zentone in 2022, the collective returned to the studio for Messenger, released in 2025.
