ZaZaZsu (咂咂苏) was formed in 2017 by Ma Yi (马懿)and Cheng Jinyuan (程锦远). The band's name, chosen by lead vocalist Ma Yi, is derived from Spanish, meaning "heart racing." Ma Yi, a graduate of Peking University's Chinese Department, is responsible for the lyrics, while Cheng Jinyuan, who graduated from Peking University's School of Information Science and Technology and was originally set to be a programmer, took on the role of keyboardist and producer. They have released multiple albums and EPs, including 就是怦然心动 (2019) and 第一千夜 in 2024, featuring the hit "爱河".
