Zappa Plays Zappa, a tribute band dedicated to performing the music of Frank Zappa, was formed in 2006 by Dweezil Zappa. The group debuted with shows across Europe, Canada, and the United States during May and June 2006, presenting rock-oriented compositions from the 1960s to the late 1970s. Notable band members included Napoleon Murphy Brock on saxophone, flute, and vocals, as well as guest appearances by Terry Bozzio and Steve Vai. In February 2009, Zappa Plays Zappa won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance for their rendition of "Peaches en Regalia." The band underwent several lineup changes over the years.
