Yuzo Kayama and the Yanchers

Kayama Yuzo and The Yanchers is a special project band formed to celebrate the legendary entertainer Kayama Yuzo’s 60th anniversary in show business. The group brings together some of Japan’s most iconic musicians: Shinji Tanimura, Kosetsu Minami, Masashi Sada, THE ALFEE, and Ryoko Moriyama. Initially launched in 2020 under the name Kayama Yuzo & The Rock Chippers, the project marked Kayama’s milestone of 60 years in the entertainment industry at the age of 83. With this ensemble of respected artists, the project was designed not only to honor Kayama’s career but also to unite veteran musicians in creating timeless new works. In 2025, as Kayama reached his 65th year in music and celebrated his 88th birthday, the group released a brand-new single titled “Tabidachi no uta”.
