His career spans various roles including singing, acting, music directing, and hosting television programs. As the son of the renowned Malaysian Tamil playback singer-actor Malaysia Vasudevan, Yugendran Vasudevan has a rich musical heritage and shares his passion for music with his sister, Prashanthini, also a Tamil playback singer. He started his musical journey at a young age, initially performing alongside his father and later evolving into a solo artist performing internationally. His playback singing debut was in the Tamil film Rojavanam with the song "Pollaachi Santhaiyile," and he has since worked with prominent composers including A. R. Rahman and Ilaiyaraaja. Besides music, Yugendran Vasudevan has also made significant strides in acting, debuting in the film Poovellam Un Vasam in 2001 and continuing to act in both films and television across India and Southeast Asia. He was part of the track "Manasilaayo" in the film Vettaiyan in 2024 where his father's voice was revived using AI.
