Yudai Takenaka

Yudai Takenaka , born 10 November 1995 in Himeji, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan, is a rock vocalist who began performing during high school by forming a cover band for ONE OK ROCK. In 2013 he founded the five‑member band Novelbright, and the group made its indie debut with the mini‑album SKYWALK in October 2018. After signing with Universal Sigma, Novelbright released the single "Sunny drop" on 17 August 2020, marking Yudai’s major‑label debut. He served as the host of Novelbright Yu-dynamite Nippon on Nippon Broadcasting from October 2020 to March 2021. In 2025 he appeared on Geneki Kao JAPAN, finishing in the Top 7, and later that year released his solo single "Love Story" on 10 November 2025.
