yousti, an artist name of Yui Kobayashi, was born on October 23, 1999, in Saitama, Japan. She began her career as a singer and fashion model, joining the idol group Sakurazaka46 (formerly Toriizaka46) in August 2015 and making her musical debut with their first single "Silent Majority". In October of the same year, she made her runway debut at the GirlsAward 2016 Autumn/Winter fashion show. On November 29, 2023, Kobayashi announced her departure from Sakurazaka46 after their graduation concert on January 31–February 1, 2024. In May 2025, she debuted as a solo singer under the name yousti with her self-titled EP yousti, released on August 27.
