Yoo Hae Joon

Yoo Hae-Joon, born in May 1968 in Wonju, South Korea, is a renowned South Korean singer, songwriter, and composer. A graduate of Seoul Institute of the Arts and Dongguk University Graduate School of Cultural Arts, he began his career in music as the producer and composer for Park Sang-Min's hit songs "Goodbye My Weapon" and "Plea" in 1997. In 1998, he co-founded the male duo CAN with Lee Jong-Won, launching his career as a singer-songwriter with the hit track "Heavenly Fate." Though he soon shifted his focus primarily to composing, Yoo became widely known for his work on popular drama OSTs such as Lovers in Prague ("Only One Love", 2005) and All Together Cha Cha Cha ("Only You for Me", 2009). His music has also been featured in major dramas like Winter Sonata, The Devil, and Youth of May. In 2007, he expanded his reach into Japan, composing for top artists and serving as the music director for the Winter Sonata anime adaptation. Continuing his legacy as a heartfelt ballad singer-songwriter, he released the emotional single "미치게 그리워서" for the drama 울지않는 새 in 2015 and "언제나 당신 곁에서"("Always By Your Side") on September 24, 2024.
