Born on December 22, 1976, in Puerto Rico, Javier Alexis Marcano Rodríguez—known professionally as Yaviah—is a pioneering figure in Latin urban music, celebrated for his genre-blending style that fuses reggaetón, hip-hop, dancehall, and R&B. Launching his career in 1993, he quickly gained recognition with his breakout track "Si Tú Quieres Fumar," establishing a distinctive sound that set him apart in the burgeoning reggaetón scene. Throughout the 2000s, Yaviah released influential tracks such as "La Mákina," "Sensual Bebe," "Este Party Va," "Wihi Wihi," "Contacto," and "En La Mía," solidifying his reputation as a versatile and innovative artist. His collaborative efforts include work with prominent artists like Big Pun, Busta Rhymes, Tego Calderón, Ivy Queen, and Daddy Yankee, as well as producers DJ Blass, Luny Tunes, and DJ Nelson. In 2020, Yaviah reached a new generation of listeners through his feature on Bad Bunny's hit "Bichiyal" from the album YHLQMDLG, which achieved significant chart success.
