Yang Ji-won

Yang Ji-won, born on March 27, 1994, in Yeongdong County, Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea, is a well-known trot singer, music producer, composer, and lyricist. He began singing trot at the age of four and gained recognition as a child prodigy in various broadcast specials. After a notable performance in "National Singing Contest" in 2000, he has since performed in over 5,000 stage shows. His unique vocal technique, characterized by vibrato and dynamic modulation, sets him apart in the trot genre. In 2005, he won the top prizes at the 15th Nam In-su Music Festival, leading to his debut album Jiwon's First Story in 2006 after training under composer Jeong Eui-song. He temporarily pursued an enka career in Japan before returning to South Korea in 2013 with the hit "Ayaya". Following military service from 2015 to 2017, he made a comeback in 2018 with the song "Assaravia". He has since released multiple singles, including "BAEBAE" in 2024 and "On a roll" in 2025.
