worriedaboutsatan

worriedaboutsatan is the long-running project of Bradford musician Gavin Miller, a shape-shifting blend of electronica, post-rock, ambient and cinematic sound design. Founded in 2006 while he was studying at Leeds College of Music, the project originally began as a solo experiment before expanding into a duo with fellow student Thomas Ragsdale. Together they forged a sound that stitched together glitchy electronics, field recordings, and guitar-led atmospherics—earning a reputation for their immersive live shows and richly textured records. The pair released their debut album Arrivals (2009) on Gizeh Records, a widescreen statement of intent that positioned them alongside post-rock contemporaries like 65daysofstatic and God Is An Astronaut, while also drawing on the influence of minimal techno and ambient pioneers. After a brief hiatus, the duo returned with Even Temper (2015) and Blank Tape (2016), further refining their mix of downtempo beats, guitar loops, and expansive, cinematic layering. In 2019, Thomas Ragsdale departed to focus on solo work, leaving Gavin Miller to continue worriedaboutsatan as a one-man project. Since then, he has released a string of acclaimed albums—including Blind Tiger (2019), Providence (2021), Falling But Not Alone (2023), Ricochet (2024), and 2025's The Future Can Wait—each one peeling back new layers of his evolving sound.
