Vinicius William Sales de Lima (born February 16, 2002 in Fortaleza, Ceará), known professionally as WIU, is a Brazilian rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer who first gained attention in 2019 following singles like “Sucrilhos” under the 30praum label. In 2022, he released his debut studio album, Manual de Como Amar Errado, anchored by standout singles “Felina,” “Horas Iguais,” and “Coração de Gelo,” which earned certifications including diamond and platinum. He followed in 2023 with the holiday-themed EP Um Pequeno Álbum De Natal, then in 2024 expanded his artistic palette with his sophomore full-length Vagabundo de Luxo, a trap-heavy project with experimental touches; its single “Rainha da Finesse” blended trap, Jersey club, funk carioca, and reggaeton and featured a notable collaboration with Teto, “Problemas de um Milionário.” Already gaining momentum in 2025, WIU dropped the mixtape 808 CLUB and its companion album 808 CLUB: AFTER, as well as singles like “Papel de Parede” — continuing to push the boundaries of Brazilian hip-hop and trap.
