Born William Thomas Long on 8 December 1980 in Jackson, Mississippi, USA, Will Long is an electronic producer, writer and photographer. In 2005, he co-founded the ambient and drone project Celer with Danielle Baquet‑Long in Huntington Beach, California. Their early works—raw, handmade releases steeped in nostalgia and memory—garnered acclaim for their haunting, deeply personal quality. After Danielle Baquet-Long's passing in 2009, he continued producing under the Celer name, preserving the project’s emotive spirit with a contemplative, introspective edge. In 2016, he pivoted into deep house under his own name, releasing the album Long Trax on DJ Sprinkles (Terre Thaemlitz)’s Comatonse Recordings. The music blends minimalist beats with archival vocal samples—including speeches from civil rights leaders—creating layered, atmospheric narratives. He followed with Long Trax 2 (2018), Long Trax 3 (2020), the recent Acid Trax (2024), and Long Trax 4 (2025), each extending his exploration of analogue rhythm, emotional reflection, and cultural resonance. A new EP, Too Much, also saw the light in 2025.
