Whitney Peyton is an American rapper from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Influenced by local artists like Will Smith and Eve, she began writing poetry and pursued a music career inspired by Missy Elliott and Eminem. Peyton's early releases included the EPs 17 (2010) and Stranger in the Mirror (2011). In 2014, she toured with Da Mafia 6ix on the "Triple 6 Sinners Tour" and received a Tri State Indie Music Award for "Emerging Indie Artist of the Year." Her first full-length album was On the Brink (2014), followed by Break the Frame (2016) and Iridescent (2018). In 2017, Peyton signed with Tragic Hero Records. She formed Keyed Up with Gina Fritz in 2019, releasing their debut album Left on Read. Peyton's fourth studio album, Alpha, was released in January 2020 under Suburban Noize Records.
