Tim Presley, born in California, began his musical journey in hardcore punk with Model American and The Nerve Agents before founding psychedelic rock outfit Darker My Love in 2004. After a stint with The Fall in 2006, he launched solo project White Fence in 2010, recording eponymous White Fence in his apartment. He continued with Is Growing Faith (2011), Family Perfume, Vol. 1 (2012) and Family Perfume, Vol. 2 (2012), followed by Cyclops Reap (2013) and For the Recently Found Innocent (2014). Collaborations with Ty Segall produced Hair (2012) and Joy (2018). Seven years after the release of I Have to Feed Larry's Hawk (2019), White Fence returned with Orange in 2026.
