W Sound

W Sound is a Colombian collaborative project launched in 2024 in Medellín by creator Westcol and producer Ovy on the Drums, built around “W Sound” sessions where the duo links up with rotating guest artists. The run began in 2024 with “Soltera (W Sound 01)” featuring Blessd, followed by “Mi Novio Tiene Novia (W Sound 02)” with Valka and the Ryan Castro collaboration “SQ (W Sound 04),” establishing the format as a producer-led single series rather than a traditional album rollout. In 2025, W Sound scored its biggest breakthrough with “La Plena (W Sound 05)” featuring Beéle, a song that crossed borders quickly and reached Number 1 on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100, later receiving Latin Grammy attention through a 2025 nomination for Best Urban/Urban Fusion Performance. The project kept its pace with “Undercromo (W Sound 06)” featuring Dei V, then closed the year with “Chica Galáctica (W Sound 07)” featuring Cris MJ, continuing the same blueprint of pairing Ovy’s slick, club-ready production with Westcol’s on-mic presence and a headline guest.
