V.O.S

The R&B trio V.O.S launched themselves onto the South Korean music scene in 2004 with the release of their debut album 'The Real'. They were a product of the Star Empire Entertainment management company who had signed the band along with label mates Jewelry after the company had spotted an opening in the market for idol groups with an R&B sound. Jewelry were an all-girl band and Star Empire Entertainment signed them alongside V.O.S, an all-boy group comprised of vocalists Choi Hyun-joon, Kim Kyung-rok and Park Ji-heon. After recording two more albums ('Blue Castle' in 2005 and 'Wonderful Things' in 2008) the band entered a lengthy hiatus interrupted briefly by the release of a compilation album titled 'This Is the Voice of Soul' in 2010 which made it to number four in the charts. Shortly afterwards Park Ji-heon announced his departure from the band. In 2015 interest in the band was rekindled when they signed a new deal with Happy Face Entertainment and tempted Ji-heon out of retirement. Their most recent recording was single 'RE:Union, The Real ' which was released in 2016.
