VKNG

Maxime Delpierre (b. 1975) and Thomas de Pourquery (1977) have known each other since childhood, and followed different musical paths before joining forces under the VKNG (for "Viking") banner. The former became guitarist for the groups Limousine and Viva and the Diva, as well as a recognized producer, while his compatriot, composer, singer and saxophonist, has distinguished himself in group and solo performances in contemporary jazz, winning a Victoire du jazz award in 2014. The VKNG project, which brought them together the previous year, materialized with the release of the track "Mary", followed in 2015 by the EP VKNG and the album Illumination. In the meantime, the two musicians present their electro-pop tunes with their overdriven soft-rock colors in public, notably at the Rock en Seine festival.
