Violent Vira is an American alternative rock and metal artist from Boise, Idaho, of Mexican-American descent, active since 2021. Her first single, "I Don't Care", released in September 2021, was a viral success with tens of millions of listens, propelling her to the forefront of the music scene. She developed a style blending alternative rock, emo and post-hardcore, with gothic influences and a powerful voice often compared to that of iconic female rock figures. In August 2023, she released her debut EP Till' Death Was Never Enough, marked by tracks like "Collar of Truth" and "You're Not Gone, You're Just Dead!", exploring personal themes such as loss, identity and resilience. After a break, she returned in January 2025 with the single "Saccharine", produced in collaboration with Jennifer Decilveo, heralding a debut full-length album to be released the same year on the independent Mom+Pop label. She establishes herself on stage with a stable band and raw energy, touring over 30 dates and taking part in major festivals.
