Considered one of the leading exponents of the "new French chanson" that emerged in the early 2000s, Vincent Delerm (son of writer Philippe Delerm, born in Évreux on August 31, 1976) made a name for himself with his first album, released in 2002. His innate sense of melody and concise lyrics blossomed on subsequent albums Kensington Square (2004) and Les Piqûres d'Araignée (2005). Author of such well-known titles as "Fanny Ardant et moi", "Tes parents" and "Les Filles de 1973 ont trente ans", this film-loving songwriter also writes and composes for the theater(Le fait d'habiter Bagnolet and Memory). After Quinze Chansons (2008) and two live albums, his fifth collection Les Amants Parallèles (2013), influenced by contemporary music, was produced with a prepared piano. Two years later, he wrote the music for the film La Vie Très Privée de Monsieur Sim. In 2016, he conceived the album A Présent, highly orchestrated, teeming with arrangements. Three years later, he presents Panorama, an album driven by the single "Vie Varda", which features Peter Von Poehl as producer and a duet with Rufus Wainwright, "Les Enfants pâles en duo". Other film scores followed, Hors-Saison and Le Cœur Qui Bat in 2024, then Le Mélange des Genres in 2025, before the release of the studio album La Fresque, from which the title track and "Plusieurs" are taken.
