Viking Moses!

Viking Moses! is an American band, formed and fronted by Brendon Massei in 2003 and based in Baltimore. Massei began touring regularly around 1993 under various names before settling on Viking Moses!. The band gained recognition in 2004 through Devendra Banhart's Golden Apples of the Sun compilation, which led to a signing with Alan McGee's Poptones record label. In 2006, the band released Crosses and the single "Werewolves in the City". Viking Moses! has collaborated with notable musicians such as John McCauley of Deer Tick and Nat Baldwin of the Dirty Projectors. Other notable albums include The Parts that Showed (2008), Jahiliyah (2014), and Cruel Child (2019). They have toured extensively with artists including Scout Niblett, Phosphorescent, Little Wings, and The Shivers. Massei's touring lifestyle was documented in the 2011 feature-length documentary Werewolves Across America.
