Vasilis Karras

Vasilis Karras was a Greek laïko singer. In the 1970s, he gained recognition on the Greek laiko stage, singing throughout Northern Greece and developing his own repertoire by collaborating with songwriters and creating original work. His first album, Αλησμόνητες Ώρες, was released in 1980. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Karras released numerous albums, including Τι Λες Καλέ (1982) and Γιατί Να Χωριστούμε (1984). His album Τηλεφώνησέ Μου (1996) went two times platinum. He also collaborated with notable figures in the Greek music scene, such as Phoebus, Tolis Voskopoulos, Christos Dantis, and Despina Vandi. Karras passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 70.
