Van Holzen is a German rock band from Ulm, consisting of Florian Kiesling (vocals, guitar), Jonas Schramm (bass, vocals) and Daniel Kotitschke (drums). The band was founded in January 2015 after the members had previously played more than 200 concerts under the name "Rockfish" since 2009. Their debut album Anomalie was released by Warner Music in 2017 and reached number 48 in the German album charts. The album Regen followed in 2019, reaching number 84 in the charts. In 2021, they released Aus der Ferne, which was self-released and became the band's most successful album to date. In September, the band released another album, Solang Die Erde Sich Dreht über Munich Warehouse, which reached number 13 in the German album charts. Van Holzen is known for its powerful, German-language alternative rock with emotional lyrics and energetic live performances. They have opened for Royal Blood and Billy Talent, among others, and are regularly on tour in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
