V6

The J-pop group V6, who formed in 1995, is split into two distinct factions based on respective age of the individual members. The oldest three members are collectively subtitled as 20th Century and the three youngest as Coming Century. The band started out life doing cover versions of Europop songs before establishing their own J-pop identity and a measure of their popularity was demonstrated by their tenth anniversary tour in 2005 during which the band sold out arenas all over Japan. In recent years the band's momentum slowed with their most recent album release being 'The Ones' which came out in 2017.
