U-Street All Stars

U-Street All Stars is a Finnish jazz ensemble formed in Helsinki in the autumn of 2000. The group's name, U-Street All Stars, was derived from Uudenmaankatu street, the location of their rehearsal space. In 2001, the ensemble won an international jazz group competition in Getxo, Spain. Their debut album, Helsinki Sessions, was released in 2002 through the EMI Blue Note label. This was followed in 2004 by the album Bowling, which featured the song "Super Treat." The ensemble included saxophonists Markus Holkko and Timo Lassy, guitarist Teemu Viinikainen, drummer Jussi Lehtonen, and bassist Ville Herrala, who joined in 2004 to replace former member Timo Tuppurainen.
