Tyskarna från Lund, a Swedish synthpop group, formed as part of the comedy group Varanteatern. The band initially gained traction through recurring sketches in Varanteaterns shows, notably in their TV series Varan-TV. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Global Fussball OK!" in 2002, a mock football-themed single that spent nine weeks on the Swedish singles charts, peaking at number 32. The group's satirical approach, parodying stereotypical synth music artists like Kraftwerk, featured lyrics in pseudo-German and a minimalist stage presence. Their debut album Metamorphobia was released in 2003, followed by Die Quelle in 2004. Subsequent releases included additional mock football-themed singles around the World Cup, including "Global Fussball 06!" in 2006 and "Global Fussball Xopowo" in 2018.
