Twinz, a West Coast rap duo comprising identical twins Deon and DeWayne Williams, entered the music scene as featured artists on Warren G’s 1994 album Regulate… G Funk Era, contributing to the tracks "Recognize" and "Runnin’ Wit No Breaks", with DeWayne also appearing on "So Many Ways". Their first major release came in 1995 with the album Conversation, produced and co‑written by Warren G, which saw the single "Round & Round" chart modestly on the Billboard Hot 100 and established the duo’s presence in the G‑funk genre. After a brief period of inactivity following their early releases, Twinz issued the digitally‑released EP Tha Loccs in 2009, presented by Snoop Dogg, though it received limited attention. Twinz’s career has been characterized by early collaboration with established West Coast artists and sporadic releases that underscored their role in the G‑funk revival.
