Turtle Creek Chorale

The Turtle Creek Chorale, an American men's chorus based in Dallas, Texas, was founded on February 19, 1980. The group began with 39 charter members under the guidance of founding artistic director Harry E. Scher and initially rehearsed at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. In its early years, the chorale received significant recognition, including winning the state title in the Johnny Mann Great American Choral Festival in 1982 under Dr. Richard L. Fleming's direction. The Turtle Creek Chorale has since grown to over 200 singing members and released numerous albums, including Testament (1992), From the Heart (1995), and Psalms (1999). Notable performances include appearances at Carnegie Hall and command performances for Queen Elizabeth II and former U.S. President George H. W. Bush. The chorale has also collaborated with prominent artists such as Liza Minnelli, Cyndi Lauper, and Susan G. Komen Foundation on projects like "Sing for the Cure".
