TsuShiMaMiRe

TsuShiMaMiRe is a Japanese all-girl rock band formed in 1999 by three students from Chiba University’s music club, SOUND HOUSE ZOO. The original lineup included Mari (vocals, guitar), Yayoi (bass, chorus), and Mizue (drums, chorus). Known for their raw energy, genre-blending sound, and offbeat lyrics, they launched their international career with a U.S. tour in 2004 and have since maintained a strong presence both in Japan and overseas. In 2017, Mizue left the band and was replaced by Maiko, who first joined as a support drummer and then officially became a member later that year. After several years with the group, Maiko departed in November 2024, and former drummer Mizue briefly returned as support. In February 2025, Asami joined as the new official drummer following a public audition. Over the years, TsuShiMaMiRe has released a wide range of albums and singles, including the song "Time Lag"(2009), showcasing their ability to mix punk rock, alternative, and experimental elements with satirical and emotional lyrics.
