French electronic music duo from Lyon, Trinix consists of Josh Chergui and Lois Serre. Formed in 2012 by two multi-instrumentalist musicians, Trinix made a name for itself through festival concerts, and in 2014 released a debut album entitled Exit. Its music, which combines organic instruments such as electric guitar, piano or drums and electronics, is the subject of multiple tracks scattered throughout the Alone (2015), Shade (2016) or Hide (2017) EPs, and the subsequent Own (2015) and Mayday (2018) albums, recorded in Los Angeles. In 2021, after a contract with Sony Music, the duo return to self-production for the album Altitude, from which the track "Sweet Dreams" is taken. In 2022, new tracks follow as the band crosses France for concerts, including "Hold On", "Dernière danse" and "5th Avenue". The following year, the duo invited the great Brazilian singer Fafá de Belém to sing on one of the tracks in their repertoire, "Emorio", signed Gilberto Gil and João Donato and given an electronic makeover. In July 2023, the track enters the official SNEP Top 200 at number 105, having appeared in several digital listening charts.
