Trapt, an American rock band formed in Los Gatos, California in 1995, initially consisted of Chris Taylor Brown on lead vocals and guitar, Simon Ormandy on guitar, Pete Charell on bass, Rick Sanders on guitar, and David Stege on drums. The band's early years saw them playing local venues and releasing their first CD, Amalgamation, in 1999. After several lineup changes, including the departure of Sanders and Stege, Trapt released the EP Glimpse in 2000 with Robin Diaz on drums. In 2001, they signed with Warner Bros. Records and released their major label debut album, Trapt, in November 2002. The album featured the hit single "Headstrong", which peaked at number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100. Trapt's subsequent albums included Someone in Control (2005), Only Through the Pain (2008), and No Apologies (2010). The band toured extensively, including appearances with Mötley Crüe at Crüe Fest in 2008. Trapt continued to release albums such as Reborn (2013) and DNA (2016), maintaining a presence in the rock market throughout their career.
