Tracey Ullman

Tracey Ullman, born Tracey Ullman on December 30, 1959, in Slough, Berkshire, England, is a British-American singer known for her contributions to adult contemporary music, pop rock, and rock music. She began her artistic career at the age of six, performing small shows at home with her sister after their father's death. Ullman's first significant breakthrough came when she was recommended to the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts at 12 years old. Her early musical endeavors included roles in various stage productions such as Gigi, Grease, and The Rocky Horror Show. Ullman's music career took off in 1983 with her debut album, You Broke My Heart in 17 Places, which featured the hit singles "Breakaway" and "They Don't Know", which charted at number 4 and 2 respectively. Her third single from this period was "My Guy", followed by "Sunglasses". She also appeared as a VJ on MTV in the United States during this time. She released her second album, You Caught Me Out, in 1984. Later compilations included Forever: The Best of Tracey Ullman (1985), The Very Best of Tracey Ullman: Breakaway (1992), and The Stiff Years (2002).
