Tough Love

Tough Love, a British electronic dance music duo comprising Alex Wintton-Caine and Stefan O'Brien, formed in 2011. They gained initial traction with their debut single "Taking Over" and established a cult following among hardcore dance music fans across the UK. The duo's breakthrough came with the release of their first EP Cold Blood on July 26th, 2012, followed by several EPs including The Night Is Calling, Fake Faces, and I Feel You / Keep It Burning. Their early success was bolstered by support from prominent broadcasters and DJs such as Annie Mac, Pete Tong, and Danny Howard. In 2014, Tough Love won Best Single at the Bass Music Awards for "Lonely Highway". The duo also had a weekly residency for The Redlight at Sankeys Ibiza and compiled and mixed The Redlight 2015 album, released on their own imprint Get Twisted Records. They also provided remixes for notable artists including Le Youth, Clean Bandit & Jess Glynne, and Meghan Trainor. Tough Love achieved significant chart success with their single "So Freakin' Tight", which peaked at number 11 on the UK Singles Chart in 2015. Their second mixtape Pure House released on July 6th, 2018.
