TOTALFAT, a Japanese punk band formed in 1999, consists of vocalist/guitarist José, vocalist/bassist Shun, and drummer Bunta. The group began their musical journey by performing covers of NOFX songs and later expanded their repertoire to include tracks from Ten Foot Pole, Millencolin, and Slick Shoes. In 2003, TOTALFAT released their debut album End of Introduction through the Japanese independent label Catch All Records, followed by a 41-show Japan tour. Their first EP, Get It Better, was released in 2004 and included a 48-show tour around Japan. The band's major label debut came with the album Overdrive. In 2011, their single "Place to Try" served as the nineteenth ending theme for the anime series Naruto Shippuden, airing from episode 231 to 241. TOTALFAT has been a prominent fixture at Japanese music festivals such as Rock in Japan and Punk Spring, consistently supporting the Summer Sonic Festival since 2009. Throughout their career, TOTALFAT has released numerous EPs and albums, including "World of Glory with JOE INOUE"(2011), "Good Bye, Good Luck"(2012), and "PARTY PARTY"(2012). The band's discography also includes several studio albums released between 2003 and 2025. In April 2019, TOTALFAT announced via their website a concert on October 22, 2019, which marked the last performance with lead guitarist Kuboty. The band continued as a three-piece ensemble thereafter. They released their album FUTURES IN SILHOUETTE on July 30, 2025.
