TOMOO

TOMOO, born on June 28, 1995 in Tokyo, is a Japanese singer-songwriter. Her interest in music began at an early age, inspired by films like The Lion King and Studio Ghibli productions. TOMOO's first significant step in her music career came in 2013 when she was a finalist in the Music Revolution contesst. She released her debut mini-album Wanna V in 2016, marking the start of her professional music journey. In 2017, TOMOO followed up with another mini-album, Blink, and then released TOPAZ in 2020. In 2021, she gained widespread attention with the release of "Ginger", whose music video surpassed one million views. This success led to her major debut under Pony Canyon's label Irori Records in 2022. Her first full-length album TWO MOON was released in September 2023, featuring the single "Grapefruit Moon". TOMOO's songs have been featured in notable anime series, including "Contrast" as the second opening theme for Blue Box and "Lucky" as the ending theme for City: The Animation. In May 2025, she held a solo concert at the prestigious Nippon Budokan. Throughout her career, TOMOO has cited influences such as Joe Hisaishi, Yui, Aqua Timez, Kobukuro, Kōji Tamaki and Evanescence. Her musical style has evolved from complex production on Wanna V to more desktop music influences on later releases. In November 2025, she released the album Dear Mysteries, featuring tracks like "Present" and "Lip Noise".
