Tom Grennan was born in Bedford, England, on June 8, 1995. His childhood and teenage years were marked above all by soccer, and he even considered becoming a professional. But his trials at clubs such as Northampton and Aston Villa came to nothing, and the young man turned to music. At a party with friends, he covered the song "Seaside " by The Kooks, and received encouragement that decided him to devote himself to this new path. For three years, he played in clubs around London, before being noticed by the Insanity Records label, which enabled him to release the Something in the Water EP in 2016, followed by two others, Release the Brakes and Found What I've Been Looking For (2017). Tom Grennan then prepares his first opus, Lighting Matches (2018), including the song "Found What I've Been Looking For", chosen to feature on the soundtrack of the video game FIFA 18. In 2021, the second album Evering Road followed, marked by the success of the singles "Little Bit of Love" (#7) and "Let Go Home Together" (with Ella Henderson, #10). Two years later, the singer released What Ifs & Maybes, his second consecutive No. 1 album, featuring the singles "Remind Me" (No. 27), "Lionheart (Fearless)" (with Joel Corry, No. 18) and "How Does It Feel" (No. 17). In 2024, "Higher", which reached a modest #78 in the charts, was the first track unveiled from the album Everywhere I Went, Led Me to Where I Didn't Want to Be (2025), from which "Shadowboxing", "Boys Don't Cry", "Full Attention" and "I Don't Miss a Thing" were also taken .
