Tito Madi

Chauki Maddi, known professionally as Tito Madi, was born on July 12, 1929, in Pirajuí, Brazil. He began his career as a singer and composer during the 1950s, gaining recognition for his contributions to samba-canções. His early singles include "Pirajuí" (1954) and "Não Digo Não" (1954). Madi released several albums, including Chove lá Fora (1957), which featured his notable song "Chove Lá Fora" (1957). His compositions were recorded by various artists, both within and outside the bossa nova genre. Collaborations with Roberto Carlos and Wilson Simonal further solidified his influence on Brazilian music. Madi died on September 26, 2018, in Rio de Janeiro.
