Tired Lion, an Australian indie rock band formed in Perth in 2010, initially consisted of Sophie Hopes and Matt Tanner. The duo began performing acoustic folk music before expanding their sound through songwriting. Their early EPs, All We Didn't Know (2013) and Figurine (2015), gained traction with the single "I Don't Think You Like Me", earning them the J Award for Unearthed Artist of 2015. This led to performances at major festivals like Splendour in the Grass and Glastonbury Festival 2016. Their debut album, Dumb Days, was released in September 2017. In March 2018, Matt Tanner left the band for personal reasons. Subsequent lineup changes included Antonia Hickey on bass, Jay Clive on drums, and James Eyre Walker on lead guitar. Their second album, Breakfast for Pathetics, was released in November 2020.
