Thurston Moore

The guitarist and singer of Sonic Youth has always preferred honest, steady work in the underground, to the antics of a rock star lifestyle. One half of Kim Gordon (the couple were married from 1984 to 2011), he has been involved in numerous projects alongside his cult band. As a sound designer, he has contributed to film soundtracks, written about the American counter-culture milieu, founded two independent labels and released three solo albums, Psychic Hearts in 1995, Trees Outside the Academy in 2007 and Demolished Thoughts in 2011. In any case, his hyperactivity has enabled him to maintain a youthful physique at the ripe old age of fifty. The years that followed did not deny this devouring desire, which resulted in numerous encounters and as many experimental recording projects. In 2017, he returned to his first love, rock, with Rock'N'Roll Consciousness.
