The Swirling Eddies, an American rock band, formed in 1988 as a spinoff from Daniel Amos with drummer David Raven. The band released their debut album Letâs Spin! on Alarma Records. Their second album, Outdoor Elvis, featured the singles "Driving in England" and "Hide the Beer, the Pastor's Here!". The Swirling Eddies adopted pseudonyms for liner notes until their third album, Zoom Daddy. Albums include The Berry Vest of the Swirling Eddies (1995), a compilation featuring a bonus track on the tape version. The band released Swirling Mellow/Meat the Farm Beetles in 2000 and The Midget, the Speck and the Molecule in 2007. Tim Chandler, one of the founding members, died on October 8, 2018.
