The Snipers

The Snipers were a UK post-punk band active from 1979 to 1981, known for their angular guitar-driven sound and socially aware lyrics. They recorded the Three Peace Suit EP in 1981, which showcased their blend of sharp post-punk rhythms, melodic basslines, and a raw, energetic approach typical of the UK underground scene at the time. The band combined elements of punk’s urgency with post-punk experimentation, placing them among the wave of early-1980s UK acts exploring darker, more reflective themes while retaining a danceable, edgy energy.
